I am currently conducting training to increase Primary 4 student’s content (for composition writing) the fun way! We are using broadcast technique to open up student’s mind and imagination so they can improve their story-telling.

Before we train students, we usually have a teacher’s session first to get them accustomed to the technique. (Here you see mix of teachers attending this session)

It was really satisfying to see others adopting new ways to visualize their story-line and communicate their intended message in a creative manner.

To all teachers reading this blog, do you encounter students having difficulty to expand their story-line (i.e. their content)? For example, most students would probably write between 4 to 6 sentences when they are given a 4-picture composition for reference. How do you go from writing a 4-sentence story to, say, a 20-sentence story? This training changes a student’s mindset and trigger a range of story-telling possibilities. It is all in the technique.

It will be really creative when a student start to realize that they can opt to tell a story in a non-linear manner. A common approach will be to tell a story in a chronological order. Well it doesn’t always have to be that way.

In this training, we give insights to scripting, story-boarding, materializing a great story-idea and visualizing every story sequence.

Contact me should you need a training demo for your students. I will be more than happy to oblige. I leave you with some photos from the training session.

Learn from the real TV makers.
